In 2016, Annette achieved the remarkable feat of completing the 900 km End-to-End hike along the Niagara Escarpment, from Queenston to Tobermory. Her journey deepened her understanding of the land's rich history with each step.
An experienced guide, Annette leads hikes for various enthusiasts, including Ontario Trail Clubs, Sightseeing Tour Agencies, and private groups. Her impressive qualifications include:
Certified Hike Leader with Hike Ontario.
Certified Hike Leader with Hike Ontario.
Wilderness & Remote First Aid Certification.
20 years of service in Search & Rescue with the Provincial Volunteer Team, Georgian Bay Volunteer Search and Rescue (now retired).
Certification as an Instructor with "Adventure Smart," focusing on programs like Hug-a-Tree & Survive and "Survive Outdoors".
Elected member of the Trails Advisory Committee for the Town of Collingwood, serving from March 2015 for a two-year term.
Director of Education with the Escarpment Corridor Alliance.
Hike Director for the Blue Mountain Bruce Trail Club.
